Every year, it seems, there is a new model car that is so blatantly unappealing that only a person with very poor eyesight or (very poor judgment) would consider buying it. The names of some car models are simply synonymous with butt ugly; just mention the name Ford Edsel, Yugo, AMC Pacer or Chevy Chevette and check the response. Eeeewww! But, there is a benefit to owning a car with no appeal, and that is no one wants to steal it! Think of the savings on your car insurance!

The truth is that the 10 least stolen cars aren’t all that ugly or inefficient - heck, there’s even a Mercedes Benz on the list - but, for whatever reason (ugliness, goofy name, stupid television commercial, etc.), car thieves don’t want to waste their time messing with any one of these models. Their loss is your gain, so to speak. So forget about buying a Cadillac Escalade (the vehicle that is the most stolen car in America) and get yourself a loser.

In reverse order, here are the 10 least stolen cars according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
